Melissa Crothers has an extensive speaking background beginning in high school and college (where she received a full speech and drama scholarship to Pepperdine University), and for the last eight years as a member of Toastmasters’ International. She has taught speech classes to 4th, 5th and 6th graders for the Solana Beach School District’s after-school program and has been the chairperson for several children’s speech contests and performances. She is also a teaching artist with Playwrights Project working with children to create dialogue and dramatic structure using drama and speech as a vehicle to express themselves.
